Foundation Accomplishments
Foundation Accomplishments
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation's major accomplishments include a successful million dollar campaign. The community raised $1.275 million for a new Women's Imaging Center, which features Ludington's first digital mammography plus advanced digital technology for bone density, breast biopsy and ultrasound testing.
With support from the Foundation, Memorial Medical Center installed a new central fetal monitoring system in the Obstetrics Department. This new technology allows physicians and nursing staff to continually monitor both the mother-to-be and her baby without being in the room. This offers more privacy to our families, without compromising patient care. The central monitoring system also allows physicians to check on the progress of their patients from remote locations.
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation conducted an $860,000 major gift campaign called the “Private Patient Rooms and Renovation Initiative.” This project, completed in June 2011, included the renovation of thirty-three inpatient rooms, with development of four private, single-bed suites and 16 flex-private suites that are set-up for one patient but can easily and flexibly be converted to semi-private if the need arises. The additional 13 rooms were renovated as semi-private suites with two beds. All bathrooms were also included in the renovation.
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation has also supported:
The FastER Track for minor illness and injuries
Occupational Medicine Program
Infant Protection System
Patient Bedside Recliners
Holmium Laser
Ellman Unit for Surgery
NeoPuff Infant Resuscitator
