Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital can provide you with diverse imaging services. The department offers a broad range of procedures including state of the art Computerized Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Ultrasound (US), Mammography (M), Bone Densitometry (BD), Diagnostic Radiology (X-ray) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
Medical Imaging Services performs close to 65,000 procedures annually, and it has some of the most experienced staff in the region. We take pride in providing our patients with high touch, high tech care based upon a foundation of clinical excellence, advanced technology and professional expertise.
Women's Imaging Center
The Women’s Imaging Center offers women a one-stop facility for the most common diagnostic procedures, from breast cancer screening and diagnosis to osteoporosis management to images of their developing babies. It features Ludington’s first digital mammography, plus advanced digital technology for bone density, breast biopsy and ultrasound testing. The Women's Imaging Center is located on the second floor of the medical office building on the south side of the hospital.
A Filmless Radiology System
Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital was the first program in the area to convert to a digital based system called PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System). This allows images such as CT, US and MRI to be electronically transmitted to other areas within the hospital network in real time, generating faster results and faster care.
