Memorial Medical Center is a 87-bed acute care hospital. We have a comprehensive list of services offered, including inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Here is a brief description of some of our inpatient units and surgery departments:
Inpatient Units:
Medical Unit (2East): Comprised of 28 acute care beds, 2East is designated for patients who require non-surgical nursing care.
Surgical Unit (2North): Comprised of 23 surgical beds, 2North is designated for patients who require post-surgical nursing care. The 2North unit also has 2 pediatric rooms specially designated for young patients requiring specialized nursing care.
CCU: Comprised of 6 beds, the Critical Care Unit provides specialized nursing care and 24/7 monitoring for critically ill patients.
StepDown Beds: 6 beds are designated as “stepdown,” which means the patient requires close monitoring but is not critically ill. Stepdown beds are considered a transition between the CCU and discharge from the hospital.
OB Unit: Memorial’s Family Birthing Center is comprised of 9 postpartum beds where patients recover following the birth of their child. In addition, the unit has 3 Birthing Rooms for labor, delivery and recovery. Click here for more information.

Memorial Family Care Center:
Memorial Family Care Center is our satellite family practice office located in Hart, under the medical direction of John Cooney, DO. MFCC offers walk-in appointments and serves non-emergency medical needs of all ages. It offers on-site lab and radiology services.
