Physician Profile

Timothy F. Murphy, MD

Timothy F. Murphy, MD, is an obstetrician/gynecologist who recently relocated to Ludington from Grand Rapids. He is welcoming new patients at the office he shares with Dan Gentry, MD, at 250 North Nelson Road in Ludington.

Dr. Murphy is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and earned his undergraduate degree in science from the University of Notre Dame. After graduation from medical school he completed his residency in the Blodgett/ St. Mary’s Hospital OB/GYN residency program in Grand Rapids.

In addition to his regular practice in Grand Rapids, for more than 10 years he was a volunteer at Clinica Santa Maria, regularly devoting days off to provide OB/GYN care to the migrant worker population in the area. He was also a clinical associate professor in the Michigan State University School of Human Medicine. Dr. Murphy has received a number of honors for clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and research, and has also been an active community leader.

Tim and Anne Murphy have four children, ages 5 through 11. They have strong roots in the Ludington area. Anne (Boes) Murphy grew up in Ludington, and her parents, Dick and Susan Boes, still live there.
