People volunteer for different reasons, but one of the most common reasons is because they want to help people. We call this “making lives better” and it is probably one of the best benefits of being a Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Volunteer. Knowing that they are making a difference to someone in need is a very strong motivator for our caring volunteers!

The goal of the Volunteer Services department at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital is to recruit, retain and recognize volunteers in a way that makes Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital thought of as the “best place to be a volunteer.” And although most of the benefits of volunteering are intrinsic and our volunteers do not seek or want special recognition, we offer our heartfelt thanks to them each year with our annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet. This event is held at the local Country Club and consists of a spectacular meal and a program to recognize the number of hours our volunteers give and their many acts of kindness and dedication. Senior leadership, staff, board members and physicians are all invited and pay homage to the many volunteers and what they bring to our organization. It is truly an evening of fellowship and fun!
